The President's Commission on Diversity and Inclusion is appointed by the president and charged with examining diversity and inclusion practices, recommending a vision for diversity and inclusion to the president, recommending high-impact action steps, and assessing the implementation of those action steps. ��Ƶ Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient Selected for Inaugural Keepers of the Flame Award

Debra Evans Smith, a 1981 ��Ƶ criminology graduate who received the university’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2022, will be honored on November 4 during the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit for her longstanding contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at ��Ƶ.

The Black Experience at ��Ƶ: Improve It with Your Voice

Black students, faculty, and staff are invited to join a discussion with an ��Ƶ alumni committee that aims to improve the academic success and social experience of Black students at ��Ƶ. Kicking off Homecoming weekend, this Fireside Chat with the Black Experience Alumni Committee will be Thursday, September 30, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Elkin Hall Great Room.
